From 10–17 February 2024, the APPG organised a study tour to Tanzania and Zanzibar with a cross-party UK Parliamentary delegation including Baroness Fiona Hodgson, Baroness Anne Jenkin of Kennington, Apsana Begum MP, Kim Johnson MP and Tommy Sheppard MP.
The study tour was hosted by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Tanzania supported by MSI Reproductive Choices (MSI) and affiliate organisation MS Tanzania (MST), International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and member organisation Chama cha Uzazi na Malezi Bora Tanzania (UMATI) and EngenderHealth.
The aim of the study tour was to strengthen UK parliamentarians’ knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and International Development and to enhance the membership of the APPG.
